Welcome - Kinross High School WebsiteHeadteacher's Blog

I am delighted to welcome your child to school session 2015-2016, and to introduce myself to you as Headteacher of Kinross High School.  As a local resident, I am looking forward to leading the school for the benefit of all pupils and our community.   During my teaching career I have gained experience in a number of schools and local authorities, and since 2010, as a Headteacher in Edinburgh.  I hope to utilise this wide experience to continue to develop Kinross High School, with a particular focus on the pupils’ learning experience.

My priorities over this term are to understand how the school works; to get to know pupils, staff and parents; and to seek feedback on strengths and next steps for the school and its campus.  In partnership with the Parent Council, a questionnaire will be available for parents which I hope that you will be able to return with your views.

I am committed to ensuring parents are involved in the work and life of the school and I intend to provide regular feedback about the strengths of the school and priorities for improvement.  I will share this electronically and on this website. If you would like to receive this update by e-mail, please ensure the school has your current e-mail address by emailing kinrosshigh@pkc.gov.uk

I am looking forward to meeting you at our school events and parent contact evenings.  I will also be hosting “Open Door” sessions on Thursday 10th September 2015, in the morning, afternoon and the evening, where I will introduce myself and seek feedback about your views of the school and the campus.  If you would like to attend one of these sessions, I would be grateful if you could register by emailing kinrosshigh@pkc.gov.uk indicating which session you would like to attend.

I am looking forward to meeting you over the coming months.

Mrs Sarah Brown, Headteacher and Campus Leader
