We are excited to offer extra-curricular clubs once again at KHS! Check out what's on offer below, due to having a vast variety of different clubs, we have split them up into different categories to make things simple for you and your young person.

 Embed Retrieval Practice

 Mrs Macnamara has been working really hard to embed retrieval practice across the whole school and has presented on this subject both at pupil assemblies and to parents/carers at a special webinar. Please see related materials and resources below.

Mrs Macnamara has put together a Sway called Optimising Student Success Sway for Pupils and Parents/Carers which includes video clips that help explain revision strategies like using the Leitner System and provides more information on supporting effective studying and learning. Active Schools Sports Leadership Pathway 

During the Easter holidays, the Perth and Kinross Active Schools team is continuing to provide an opportunity for pupils aged 16+ to develop leadership skills in sport to help them to grow their CV, support positive destinations and develop skills for learning, life and work. 

FREE courses are on offer through Zoom and will be bookable via Eventbrite. Courses available are:  

  • Athletics Leaders 
  • Disability Inclusion 
  • Introduction to Netball Umpire 
  • Netball Leaders  
  • Football Level 1.1 
  • Table Tennis Introduction to UKCC Coaching  
  • Miss Hits Starter Tennis

When the situation allows, these qualifications will then be used to volunteer in the school or community when extracurricular and sports clubs open again.
