S2 Enterprise

Our S2 Enterprise pupils have been working with Social Enterprise Academy Scotland and have set up their own initiative called Same Difference. The class are busy making products to raise money and at the same time, creating and building a relationship with the CHAS staff and the children that visit Rachel House.

Kettle Produce Visit

At the end of term the Higher Health and Food Technology class were lucky to have a visit from Jane Leonard from Kettle Produce who spoke on the theme of ‘Developing New Food Products from Market Trends’. She gave a unique insight into the multiple stages a food product will go through before it is finally released onto Supermarket shelves.

V&A Design Competition

The V&A in Dundee are running a competition open to S1 and S2 pupils across Scotland which sees teams compete to create a design which tackles loneliness and isolation in schools. Our S1 team meet in CDT at lunchtime once a week and are rising to the challenge!

Callum's Charity Achievements

S2 pupil Callum Alexander has recently been named as one of Fife Herald’s top 10 Community Champions for 2019 for his incredible fundraising efforts.

After learning about how humans are having an increasingly negative impact on wildlife, Callum set up his own charity called Protection For Animals.

300 Club Winners

The January 2020 prize draw for the KHS 300 Club was carried out. The numbers were randomly drawn by K Berthon and witnessed by J Sneddon in the Campus/School office.

 The total  income for this prize draw was £201.

Christmas 2019

What a wonderful Christmas time it's been during the last week of term here at Kinross High School! 

At the start of the week, the seniors held an epic Lip Sync battle and although Mr Peddie and Modern Languages put in a valiant effort, they were pipped at the post by The Ho Ho Hos, a trio of prefect boys who amused the audience with their version of Jingle Bell Rock  in the style of 'Mean Girls'.
