Parents' Evenings offer families the opportunity to discuss progress and next steps in each subject area with their child's subject teachers. For the duration of the 2021-22 session, all Parents' Evenings will be held virtually. Parents/carers can expect one contact opportunity each year (with the exception of S1 where parents evening is split over two dates). Please see our Calendar for Parents' Evening dates which are highlighted in a lilac colour.
If you have any concerns and would like to speak to someone about your young person, you can contact us at any time through the house team email addresses which you can find here.
Once the booking system opens, the main contact will be able to log in using the button below.
You will require the pupil's first name, surname and date of birth.
If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What if the appointment is missed?
If you miss an appointment, please email the relevant House Pupil Support Team inbox. We cannot offer another appointment with the teacher but can provide feedback via alternative format.
What happens if there is an IT problem?
If the screen freezes or the connection is poor, please persevere and try to complete the meeting. If this is not possible, parents/carers should email the relevant HPST inbox and we will try to rearrange the appointment where possible.
What if we run out of time?
The meeting will need to end in order to allow others to have their allotted time.
Do parents/carers have to see all teachers?
Not at all. Please target those subjects and teachers you would most like to see and/or would have any concerns about.
I’m not familiar with Teams – how does it work?
You will be emailed invitations to each of the online meetings with links to join. We recommend that parents/carers are ready to join the meeting shortly before the start time and advise setting a reminder on your phone or device. If you join the meeting before the start time, you will be added to a virtual waiting room and the teacher will start the meeting at the allotted time. Specialist equipment is not required however, if your device does not have a camera, the teacher will not be able to see you; meetings can still go ahead with audio only.
I’m having trouble using the booking system – what should I do?
Firstly, refer to the Parents’ Evening System Guide. If you are still having issues with booking, please contact our Business Support Team on 01577 867100 for support.
What if I can't book an appointment with my child's teacher(s)?
Parents' Evenings appointments fill up quickly so if you are unable to secure an appointment with your child's teacher(s), you can join a waiting list. Should a time slot become available, appointments will be given to those on the waiting list on a first come, first serve basis and you will receive an email notification to confirm the time. If the teacher is still fully booked and we're unable to get you an appointment, please email the relevant House Pupil Support Team.
Can I make an appointment with my child's PSE teacher?
Appointments with Pupil Support will not appear on the booking system. Instead, Pupil Support staff will request appointments with parents/carers according to individual need. If we do not contact you to schedule a Parents' Evening meeting but you have a specific concern you would like to discuss, please contact the young person's House Pupil Support Team in the first instance.
