We strive to ensure that our young people fulfil their potential by maintaining a positive, supportive and friendly learning environment.
Health and Wellbeing
As a faculty, we strive to provide the highest quality of learning and teaching for all our pupils. We promote the values of a healthy lifestyle which will not only allow our young people to develop essential skills for life, but also to go on to develop successful careers. As well as having opportunities to develop their skills for work, our courses also focus on personal development; pupils learn how to demonstrate respect and tolerance and build positive relationships by working closely with each other.
Maths and Numeracy
Maths and numeracy gives pupils the core skills they need in everyday life and helps us understand the world around us. We aim to ensure that all pupils have the best possible grounding in maths and numeracy so they are able to develop and use valuable mathematical skills.
The Modern Languages faculty at Kinross High School offers six languages in total: French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Russian and Arabic. Our dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff, led by Mr Struth, aim to offer all pupils a positive language learning experience. Through the skills of talking, listening, reading and writing, we enhance students' ability to communicate with others in a foreign language, to enable them to express their thoughts, feelings and ideas with confidence, and arm them with the knowledge of how language works.
The Pupil Support faculty encompasses the support, inclusion and pastoral needs of our pupils. Day to day, pupils are supported by the house teams, each of which consists of three key roles, Head of House, Depute Head of House and Pupil Care and Welfare Officer.
