SQA Exams

Pupils in S4 to S6 will be put forward for a range of SQA qualifications dependant on their subject choices.

National 2 to National 4 qualifications are based on unit assessments, National 5 qualifications traditionally include a final exam in May, however some are now based on unit assessments due to the practical nature of the qualification. Highers and Advanced Highers are mainly sat by pupils in S5 and S6 with some subjects also offering baccalaureate qualifications.

In addition to traditional national qualifications, young people can study some alternative qualifications such as Design, Engineer, Construct and Foundation Apprenticeships.

You can find out more information about the qualifications offered by each subject on our Pathways section of the website here

To help young people prepare for their exams, a wealth of information is available for pupils, their families and staff members on the SQA website.

Non Priority Appeals

The SQA will notify the school of the outcome from any non-priority appeal on 31 October 2023.

We aim to share this information with students as soon as possible after that date.
